Ideas for decorating the guestbook table.

You want to keep as many memories as possible of your big day in order to prolong the great happiness of this event for a long time. You will undoubtedly keep a copy of your wedding invitations, and maybe even some of the wedding decor items. Of course, the presence of an image specialist will allow you to obtain original wedding photos to flip through in the years to come.

Beyond pictures, words count. This is how you want to provide your guests with a guestbook, a notebook in which they can write pretty love texts that you will enjoy forever.

But then, in the euphoria of the moment, the guests sometimes forget to go through the guestbook table, to sit down for a moment to share their most beautiful feelings with you. How to prevent your notebook from being left blank? By decorating your little stand in a welcoming way! Below are some suggestions.

The table, natural or with a tablecloth?

Most of the decor choices in your guestbook will be determined by your wedding theme in that the booth should fit into the overall feel of the reception. If you have opted for a more rustic or rural atmosphere, it may be wise to leave the natural material that makes up the table visible, especially if it is a pretty table in wood or wrought iron, or more from a barrel.

We will then add a simple rustic bouquet of fresh or dried flowers which will enhance the furniture.

In a more chic or traditional environment, install a white fabric tablecloth on the guestbook table. If you have made the bet of an original wedding theme, do not hesitate to deploy a patterned tablecloth recalling your bias: exotic, hipster, geek, etc.

Subdued light or bright lighting?

While your loved ones must of course see enough in order to be able to write their message without difficulty, we prefer for the head table a relatively subdued light in order to create the ideal conditions for writing intimate messages. We can thus opt for candle lighting, or even use LED lamps.

Also think of the famous customization light board with letters. You can write a little note to encourage your loved ones to write moving love quotes.

Soft or flashy colors?

Once again, the colors to match the guestbook table will depend on the wedding venue decor as a whole. If you have stayed in a classic aesthetic, we will bet on neutral and pastel tones such as white, beige, cream, a pretty mauve or an old pink.

We can dare the more intense colors as part of a contemporary wedding, but we generally consider that the color will come naturally from pencils and other customization accessories. Avoid overloading very flashy decorative items.

Guestbook, with or without accessories?

In a classic or even retro spirit, we will place simple sheets, an old notebook and why not an inkwell, all on a white tablecloth, without adding other decorations than beautiful feathers or why not pebbles.

For an original and more modern wedding guest book, we will not hesitate to provide our loved ones with all kinds of professionalization accessories, like a scrap booking workshop.

We are of course thinking here of colored pencils and felt-tip pens in various tones, white and gold pens, wash tape, glue, glitter, sheets of Canon paper to cut out, little wooden or wooden hearts. cork, etc.

The guest book is a great keepsake for the bride and groom, but also a great idea for wedding entertainment for the guests. Alternate posed and more animated wedding games so that everyone finds their account and to adapt the activities according to the different times of the day.
