The weddings in Chruch.

A wedding is a ceremony that takes place upon marriage. It can be held in very different places, but it is most often in a church or some state institution. A wedding that is not performed in the church is called a civil wedding and it is performed in front of the registrar in the presence of two witnesses. Then the future spouses promise that they will live life together and that they will respect the principles of marriage, as well as each other. After that, the registrar issues them a wedding certificate, ie a certificate that the marriage has been officially concluded. In this case, the spouses may keep their surname or take over and/or add the surname of their spouse.

Many religions perform various rituals and festivals that are held during the marriage of two believers. It is up to the state laws to verify these marriages as legal or not. Christian marriage is mostly contracted in the church. A marriage concluded before God should last a lifetime, but today the church authorities allow divorce and even a new marriage. Orthodox priests crown the newlyweds, while the exchange of wedding rings is common among all Christians. Jewish wedding in the synagogues actually an agreement of two people blessed by God. They step on a crystal glass at the wedding to show how precious and fragile love is. A Muslim marriage is the result of an agreement between two families, and the wedding takes place at home. The newlyweds of the Hindu religion go around the holy fire seven times, while the bridegroom leads the bride around the holy book. In Sikh, the bride is dressed in red, while in the last hundred years in Western Europe it has become common for the bride to wear luxurious white wedding dresses, which is considered a symbol of purity and innocence. Sikhs, Jews, and Muslims allow divorce, but reluctantly. For a married couple who encounters difficulties, there are counselors for marital problems. Arranged marriages often take place among Hindus, Sikhs, and Muslims (while the spouses are still children), so it also happens that the future bride and groom do not even know each other. In the Berbers tribe in Morocco, there is a bride's holiday that is celebrated every year in September. It is an opportunity for young people to find a soul mate. Men looking for a bride on that occasion are dressed in white, and girls have covered with veils so that the face they cannot be seen. The young man will see the girl's face only if he marries her, which means that he should assess by conversation whether she is for him. They will be married by the so-called Khadija.

In China, it is possible for even people who are no longer alive to get married. Then the so-called ghost weddings are organized . It was a way for the parents of a girl or boy who died to find a son-in-law or daughter-in-law (who are alive). Such celebrations are mentioned in Chinese legends at least two thousand years ago.

Is it possible to get married a second time in church?

People who got married in the church can also get divorced, of course, but unlike the so-called civil divorce, the "culprit" is sought here. That is, the spouse who is more responsible for the divorce of the church marriage. When the priest determines the "guilt", he determines the punishment, ie the so-called penance, which in most cases is embodied in the fact that, depending on the degree of "guilt", the time when that spouse will be allowed to remarry depends.

Newlyweds

This holiday is celebrated on March 22 and is dedicated to the memory of the suffering of the forty holy Martyrs of Sebastia, who suffered for the faith of Christ in 320. All these martyrs were young men, so our people took that day as a holiday in which young spouses (newlyweds) receive guests in their home, and they bring them gifts and thus help them at the beginning of their marriage and life in the marital community. Newlyweds always fall with fasting, because Lent usually begins in early or mid-March, and therefore every feast prepared on this day must be fasting, for the health and progress of the children of young spouses.
