The idea arose to make a wedding hall decoration business or wedding event decoration. He got the idea when his brother was going to have a wedding party.

 

"At that time I thought if I can do this wedding party decoration myself, why do I have to hire other people's services which are quite expensive," he said.

From this idea, Ario then created a decoration design concept with a Javanese traditional theme. To support his creation needs, Ario spent Rp. 10 million which is used to buy a set of gebyok, namely a wedding stage with a traditional Javanese model, buying a set of chairs for Rp. 3 million and a set of carpets for Rp. 2 million.

 

The reason he chose geology was that at that time there were still many who did not use the concept of decoration by using geology, geology can also be used to create broader decoration concepts such as Javanese customs, Sundanese customs, and even Batak customs. Ario also received additional capital from his parents of Rp. 5 million which was used to buy taffeta and chiffon fabrics to complement his decoration needs.

 

The decoration concept in the Javanese traditional style that Ario chose was because it adjusted to his abilities at that time. However, he also believes that his business can target all groups, both for traditional decorations, national decorations, and international decorations. In order to build his business image, Ario also created a legal entity in the form of PT. Prada roses.

 

Prospects and Competition. According to Ario, business opportunities in the field of wedding decoration are very large when viewed from the increasing number of wedding statistics in Indonesia. Especially now that weddings have become a cultural trend that cannot be missed for everyone.

 

"Indonesians have a very strong sense of brotherhood and kinship, so many people want their wedding party to have a deep impression" said Ario.

 

Meanwhile, according to Ario, competition is getting tighter, for that business actors must be able to present a creative and innovative design creation, so that the resulting decoration products can attract the attention of many people.

 

Services Offered. There are many types of decoration models offered by Mawar Prada, with prices adjusted to the size of the room to be decorated. The bigger the room to be decorated, the more expensive the price offered.

 

The first model is a type of wedding decoration held at home, the price offered for one decoration is around Rp. 20 million, but this price also adjusts to the capacity of the place and room.

 

From this first decoration model, clients will get facilities in the form of reception decorations, decorations for the aisle, wedding decorations, chair decorations, guest book recipient decorations and money box decorations.

 

Another type of decoration offered by Ario is a building decoration model with a guest capacity of 400 people. The rates set for party decorations in the building are slightly more expensive, namely Rp. 45 million, while the facilities include wedding decorations, decorations for the place to the aisle, decorations for the reception area, decoration for chairs, decorations for receiving guest books, decorations for money boxes, and decorations for music venues.

 

While the last decoration model with a guest the capacity of 1,000 people, the price offered for this decoration ranges from Rp. 60 million to Rp. 100 million. With this price, the client will get the decoration services in the form of a reception, a place to the aisle, a wedding stage, a chair decoration, a decoration for a guest book, a money box decoration, a music venue decoration and a VIP guest place decoration.

However, Ario also paid attention to the quality of the decorations he produced. "Because the time is given is very limited, we must be able to work quickly, but that does not mean that we are just as fast, quality and customer satisfaction are also our priorities," said Ario.

 

To support his business, Ario recruited 30 freelance employees who already have special expertise in decorating, these freelance employees are paid Rp 150 per project.

 

Meanwhile, to support daily needs, Ario employs 12 permanent employees with salaries according to the UMR. For permanent employees, these work as marketing and administration.

Apart from the principle of one day service provided, the design concepts offered by Ario are also very diverse, almost all concepts are made professionally, giving rise to a very good artistic impression . According to Ario, the business he is involved in is not only just for profit but also makes clients happy and satisfied with the services he provides.

 

Payment method. After an agreement is made with the client regarding the time and place, the client is required to make payments in two terms. The first term is made when booking the time and place, while the second term payment is made two weeks before the event starts.

 

While running his business, Ario has received complaints from clients. This complaint usually occurs because it is not in accordance with the wishes of the client, so Ario will explain the purpose of the decoration design he has done. For Ario, every effort must have complaints from clients, therefore we should give something that is more than what the client expects.

 

Exhibition. The first time that Ario did to introduce his business to the public was by using word of mouth. "Through friends who will carry out the marriage is considered very effective, because if they are satisfied, it will quickly spread to other friends and it continues to this day," said Ario.

 

In addition, Ario also often participates in exhibitions organized by building partners in exhibition events such as regular wedding exhibitions at Balai Sudirman, Bidakara, Balai Kartini, Magfuri, and other partners. He participated in the exhibition every year.

 

"One month, at least 4 events in one event are usually Rp. 50 million.
